Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Pinot Gris opens with an attractive mild green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced between its acidity and fruit. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused mild green apple with hints of white pepper. The finish is dry and pleasantly refreshing. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with steamed clams with drawn butter. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2009 J Vineyards "Cooper Vineyard" Pinot Gris has a bouquet of honeysuckle, orange blossom and lime on the nose, with hints of mango and jasmine. The crisp, clean entry and velvety mouthfeel unfold into flavors of sweet summer melon, tangerine and peach cobbler. There is a hint of honey on the palette that complements the fruit and acid nicely. The lingering finish invites you to relax and enjoy another taste. This well balanced and layered wine is a great complement to a variety of foods, from spicy Thai cuisine to south of the border Mexican dishes that are moderately spiced.
