Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Petit Verdot based blend from Janell Dusi opens with a violet and cedar bouquet with hints of cardamom and cocoa. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, juicy, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a black raspberry and boysenberry blend with notes of black licorice and oak. We also detected hints of mild black cherry, mocha, and cardamon. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins show nice length. The Tasting Panel would pair this very good red blend with a smoked brisket. Enjoy - KWGTP
