Wine Review: This golden yellow colored Soave Classico from Inama is very impressive. It opens with a honey and mild orange zest bouquet with hints of lemon verbena and slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, exquisitely balanced, round and velvety. The flavor profile is a tasty mild honey and quince blend with hints of Bosc pear. I also detected a touch of flinty minerality and mild caramel towards the end. The finish is dry and its rich flavors drift away nicely. If you are looking for a reasonably priced Chardonnay alternative give this wine a whirl. I would pair it with pasta carbonara or New England clam chowder. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A well-structured wine. Intense aromatic notes, such as field flowers and citrus are supported by savory characteristics on the palate. Good acidic backbone provides a fresh finish. Pair with oysters or Asian cuisine.
