Wine Review: This dark red colored Carmenere based wine from Inama opens with a smoky oak, new saddle leather and black cherry bouquet with a hint of clay pot and anise. On the palate, the flavor profile is black plum with notes of gentle cedar and chalky minerality. We also detected hints of black licorice and black olive. The finish is dry and its cedar notes and dusty mild tannins linger for a bit. The Panel suggested pairing this rustic wine with Italian beef braciole. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Vivid ruby core with a narrow purple rim. Pronounced nose with black cherry, damson, soy, cocoa and Parma violet. Elegant front-palate with fresh acidity, firm, integrated tannins and medium+ length. At its best with local salami (sopressa) and grilled pork.
