Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet and Carmenere blend opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with a faint hint of new leather in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a flinty mineral and old oak infused black currant and red plum blend with notes of black olive. The finish is dry and its flavors and dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. This wine is old school and would pair well with chicken marbella or chicken mole. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The nose displays an intense bouquet of red and black fruit, spices, pepper, ripe cherries and chocolate. Tannins are balanced and help the wine to age longer.
