Wine Review: This Cab is quite young and will require some decanting in the short run. It is opaque and very dark purple colored. It opens with a new leather, smoky bacon, and black licorice like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, and polished. The flavor profile is a mild black currant and blackberry blend with nicely integrated cinnamon, spice, and gentle oak. There was also a dash of black pepper mixed in. The finish is dry and its prominent tannins build up and are rather tingly as they stick around for a while. As I mentioned this substantial Cab needs a little air and should be paired with a well marbled red meat, like a rib eye. You could also cellar it for a few years as well. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Barrel aged for 22 months in 100% French Oak, this wine has powerful aromas of chocolate, blueberry and cassis that are subtly framed by vanilla and cinnamon spice. Supported by flavors of blackberry, chocolate and Bing cherry, the tannins are supple, offering a rich mouthfeel and a lingering finish
