Wine Review: This slightly opaque ruby colored Cab opens with an attractive black cherry and red currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is predominately dark chocolate and oak with some black raspberry and black cherry in the background. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins land softly. The panel suggested serving this wine with a ribeye steak or fresh sliced strawberries. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: First off, this wine has great depth of color with aromas of plum, black cherry, French oak, a light smattering of kitchen spices and cedar/sandalwood incense. It has a broad and powerful first impression with a sweet oak and cherry cola center, wrapped in black fruit rounding out the palate. The expressive tannins will mellow over the next 12-24 months and if cellared well the wine should drink beautifully for 14 years or more.
