Wine Review: This dark red Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a fragrant and fruity Bing cherry bouquet with a hint of pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely balanced, soft and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black plum with notes of oak. I also detected a hint of black currant mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. I would pair this very nice Cab with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of cedar, oak, leather, black fruit, and baked plums jump from the glass of our 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon. A perfect blend of sweet and savory awaits the palate, with notes of black raspberry, ripe pomegranate, lush oak, and a hint of sweet panettone on the finish. Bright acid accompanied by round, full tannins provide a velvety mouthfeel. Pair with game dishes; lamb curry; duck with plum sauce; or mushroom risotto.
