Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a fragrant and attractive black currant bouquet with hints of dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe blackberry and stewed black plum blend with notes of oak and dark chocolate with a hint of blueberry. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine is very food friendly and would pair nicely with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Inky garnet in color, the Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon exudes warmth and allure. Effusive aromas of ripe dark cherry, spiced chocolate, dusty earth and raspberry compote spill from the glass. The entry is voluptuous, supple, and opulent, while the mid-palate features enticingly decadent dark fruit and lengthy, sweet tannins, almost defying the boundaries of richness.
