Wine Review: This deep gold colored Marsanne based blend from Halcon opens with a bee’s wax and quince bouquet with hints of Juicy Fruit gum. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, lush, and slight viscous. The flavor profile is a mild quince with notes of Golden delicious apple and chamomile tea. I also detected hints of mild honey and apricot. The finish is dry, and its flavors drift away nicely. I would pair this white blend with a baked halibut. Enjoy – KWGTP
