Wine Review: This slightly cloudy dark red colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a cranberry and dark chocolate bouquet with a hint of pomegranate and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and a bit dusty. The flavor profile is a mild pomegranate and blackberry blend with of black tea and stone dust. I also detected hints of dark chocolate and black raspberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors and dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. This wine benefits from some aeration. The aeration brings everything together. I would pair this Washington state Cab with grilled prime steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This beautifully structured wine draws you in with alluring aromas of Bing cherry, rooibos tea, loamy earth, and graham cracker, with notions of cinnamon, clove, and wild herbs. On the palate, shapely, fine-grained tannins and energetic acidity add poise and verve to the red currant, raspberry, and wild strawberry flavors as they build to a long, dramatic finish.
