Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with a cranberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of violets and dried strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, bright, and zesty. The flavor profile is a spiced red plum and craisin blend with notes of red licorice and red raspberry. I also detected hints of black tea, mushroom, and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors acidity and tannins are nicely extended. This fresh styled Pinot from Goldeneye would pair well with a pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Lush, layered, and complex, this enticing Pinot Noir draws you in with aromas of ripe raspberry and black cherry, as well as notions of pennyroyal, clove, and sweet baking spices. On the palate supple tannins and elegantly balanced acidity frame juicy flavors of blackberry and Bing cherry, with savory hints of nutmeg, leather and breakfast tea emerging on the long, robust finish.
