Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Gewurztraminer opens with very fragrant lychee bouquet with hints of ginger and rose petals. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, slightly viscous, and delicate. The flavor profile is a very tasty lychee and chamomile tea blend with notes of baking spices and ginger. We also detected hints of chalky minerality and Anjou pear. The finish is off-dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this versatile and impressive Gewurz with ham and gruyere quiche or with cashew chicken. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The aromas jump out of the glass with vibrant layers of honeysuckle, pink grapefruit, orange blossom and lychee, along with perfumed hints of rose and wild thyme. On the palate, the mouthfeel is round and generous, with a beam of sleek underlying acidity adding verve and tension to the citrus and floral flavors as they glide to a long, resonant finish.
