Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley opens with a black cherry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of spiced plum, potting soil, and peonies. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and fresh. The flavor profile is a slightly tart black plum and loam blend with notes of raspberry tea, rhubarb, and oak. I also detected some hints of blackberry, spice, and black pepper. The finish is dry and its mild tannins, flavors, and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Pinot with a pork tenderloin with a savory balsamic raspberry sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Capturing the flavorful diversity of the Anderson Valley, this alluring Pinot Noir reveals aromas of fresh raspberry, black cherry and rich, blackberry pie, with hints of warm baking spices, pennyroyal, and sea spray salinity. On the palate, bright, balanced acidity and supple tannins frame juicy flavors of Bing cherry and bramble berries, with notes of leather and breakfast tea adding nuance to the long, lingering finish.
