Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with strawberry and red plum bouquet with hints of Maraschino cherry, faint florals, and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, balanced, bright, and savory. The flavor profile is a black plum and cinnamon blend with notes of minerality and red licorice. We also detected hints of dried herbs and cranberry. The finish is dry, and its moderate grainy tannins are nicely prolonged. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with coq au vin, seared tuna, or with asparagus risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The famed Cerise Vineyard has yielded a lush and beautifully age-worthy wine with alluring aromas of red currant jelly, chocolate-covered oranges, star anise, sweet leather, and peppercorn. On the palate, refined, mouthcoating tannins and a delicate backbone of acidity add depth and nuance to the berry and spice flavors, with layers of Rainier cherry and cocoa lingering on the long finish.
