Wine Review: This pale garnet colored Pinot Noir opens with a pleasant cherry licorice, wild strawberry and blueberry bouquet with hints of saddle leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth, and refined. The flavor profile is tasty black cherry, stewed red plum and clove blend with notes of cinnamon and white chocolate. We also detected hints of black pepper, bay leaf, and stony minerality mixed in. The finish is dry and its spicy flavors and gentle tannins drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Pinot with grilled quail with raspberry-cranberry Cumberland sauce, deviled pork chops or chocolate mousse. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This beautifully aromatic Pinot Noir showcases enticing black cherry, strawberry and supple saddle leather aromas that hint at the wine's soft, elegant mouthfeel. On the palate, high-toned layers of strawberry and raspberry are supported by silky tannins, with an undercurrent of sophisticated acidity bringing polish and finesse to the red berry flavors.
