Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Goldeneye is terrific. It opens with a mild plum and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, elegant and so easy to enjoy. The flavor profile is a delicious mild plum and cherry blend with hints of smoky oak, cola and strawberry in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Pinot would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Located in the middle of Anderson Valley our Gowan Creek vineyard has a style all its own. This wine evokes every shade of purple on the palate. Bursting with Japanese plum, boysenberry and wild blackberry, our Gowan Creek Pinot Noir is deftly balanced by a richness and roundness that gives this wine its excellent structure. Floral notes of lavender, pennyroyal and cinnamon stick lead to a long and lush finish.
