Wine Review: This pale pink colored sparkling wine from Gloria Ferrer opens with tiny refined streaming bubbles. The bouquet is a faint watermelon and strawberry bouquet with hints of clementine, green apple peel and bread dough. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and frothy with medium plus crisp acidity. The flavor profile is mild red raspberry and stony mineral blend with notes of watermelon and nectarine pit. We also detected a hint of dried strawberry towards the end. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors are nicely prolonged. The Panel would pair this sparkler with Rick’s shrimp cocktail or Stuart’s poached salmon. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Crisp citrus notes followed by soft white floral aromas of honeysuckle and orange blossom greet the nose. On the palate, red fruit evolves from raspberry and watermelon to tart flavors of cranberry and kumquat. Tangerine and honeydew round out the fruit mid-palate, and a lovely oyster shell minerality meets you with a lingering acidity for the finish.
