Wine Review: Although the Anniversary Cuvee doesn't score much higher than the less expensive offerings, it is a testament to the quality of the wines in the Gloria Ferrer lineup. The nose on the 2010 Anniversary Cuvee is unmatched by the other offerings as it displays pronounced brioche, vanilla, and glazed golden delicious apples. The palate is dedicated to exhibiting as much as possible. There are flavors of cloudberry and candied Meyer lemon, baking spices like nutmeg and cardamom, and creme brulee. The Anniversary Cuvee is meant to be a standalone sipper but would pair nicely with chicken cordon bleu. – Nicolay
Winemaker Notes: The rich aromas of Asian pear, ripe apple, and a delicate touch of honey and vanilla greet you on the nose. With each sip of wine, you get a rich and creamy mousse and some lingering fruit from the nose. This is built on by a bit of creme brulee and stone fruit layered over black cherry. The finish is long and wraps up with hints of fresh ginger. Each glass pairs perfectly with your favorite seafood or a fruity dessert. For seafood try it with oysters on the half shell with a chipotle lime mignonette
