Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Zin opens with a pleasant blueberry bouquet with hints of vanilla and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and quite smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious spicy blueberry and boysenberry blend with nicely integrated oak and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins drift away nicely. This is a top shelf Zin that the panel would pair well with a filet mignon or duck breast with a cherry reduction sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2008 vintage Old Vine Zinfandel is a lush, jammy, medium-bodied wine with silky, well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity. The aroma/flavor profile includes: black cherry, red plum and pumpkin pie spices.
