Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Oregon opens with a mild cherry-cola and gentle oak bouquet with a hint of strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and elegant. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild strawberry with notes of cherry. I also detected hints of red plum and blueberry. The finish is dry and its refined gentle tannins and flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot is classy and will pair nicely with pheasant Normandy. Yum! - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 "Prospector's Reserve" is a very limited blend of six barrels. The 2014 Reserve is a blend of the four main clones from the oldest part of the vineyard: Wadenswil, Pommard, Dijon 777 and Dijon 114.
