Wine Review: This almost clear colored New Zealand based Sauvignon Blanc opens with a mild grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild grapefruit with hints of lime and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry and refreshing. This very food friendly Sauvignon Blanc would pair well with grilled swordfish skewers. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A full and complex spectrum of flavours from herbal notes through to ripe tropical fruit salad, with tangy grapefruit, bitter lemon and hints of tomato leaf. Texture has a touch of “chalkiness” and is enriched by the barrel ferment components, which add creaminess too. Acidity is fresh and juicy but by no means tart, and helps to promote a signature dry, stony mineral finish.
