Wine Review: This straw-colored Chardonnay from Flanagan opens with a poached pear and oak bouquet with hints of golden delicious apple and lemon tea. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, lush and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of Bosc pear and pineapple with notes of butterscotch and oak. We also detected hints of vanilla wafer and almond. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this impressive Chard with a lobster bisque. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The nose displays jasmine, herbs de Provence and almond blossom. The palate of the wine has a zippy acidity and is dominated by ripe, beautiful Meyer lemon flavors. The Russian River Valley is recognized as one of the top regions in the world for growing Chardonnay, and Bacigalupi Vineyard is well known within the AVA for producing high quality fruit. We have made great wines from Bacigalupi since 2014 and it continues to be a favorite with our club members!
