Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from the “Sun Chase Vineyard opens with a very inviting ripe black cherry and stewed black plum bouquet with hints of blueberry. You could smell this wine for hours. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, round and gentle. The flavor profile is a cola and mild red plum blend with notes of vanilla bean. I also detected hints of oak, loam and Oolong tea toward the end. The finish is dry and its earthy flavors linger nicely. This is an old school style Pinot and would pair well with Sheri’s sausage stuffed mushrooms. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2016 Flanagan Pinot Noir Sun Chase Vineyard displays the characteristic red fruit profile of the site. The nose is dominated by pomegranate, Bing cherry, and red raspberry and those notes continue of the palate. The wine is very pretty, nicely focused, and finishes with good acidity. This is a wine that is easy to enjoy with or without food.
