Wine Review: This dark red colored Primitivo opens with a cap gun sulfur and cherry bouquet with hints of wet slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black plum with notes of tea and mild cedar. We also detected hints of green pepper and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Primitive with Hungarian goulash. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Primitivo is deep ruby red colored with violet reflections. The bouquet is complex and powerful featuring spicy hints of clove and black pepper with woodsy undertones; hints of wild cherry and prune. It is soft and consistent with an excellent balance of acidity and tannins. It is velvety smooth and closes with lingering sensations of cocoa and coffee. Pair it with risottos, casseroles and stews.
