Wine Review: This dark red colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Excelsior is a good value. It opens with a blackberry, oak and plum bouquet with hints of black pepper. On the palate, it is medium bodied and dusty with slightly smoky black raspberry, cranberry, plum and oak flavors. I also detected hints of strawberries. The finish remains dry and slightly extended with some mild cedar notes showing up. This is a good value Cab. at its price point and I would pair it with a thick juicy cheddar burger with mushrooms. – Joe
Winemaker Notes: This crowd-pleasing Cabernet delivers serious bang for the buck! It displays ripe blackcurrant and dried herb characters on the nose, which are supported by spicy oak notes. The palate is smooth and soft, with appealing ripe tannins and a long finish.
