Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Evening Land is Excellent! It opens with an inviting mild blueberry and boysenberry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, super balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious red raspberry, blueberry and plum blend. I also detected hints of spice and faint oak. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot is top notch and one of the best wines I have covered this year. I would pair it with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine is dark red and garnet in color with light edges. The nose has hints of baking spice, dried violets, warmed raspberries, licorice, cocoa, sweet tobacco, and burnt marshmallow. Narrow on the entry, due to its fine tannins, the wine opens up to a very elegant, well-structured palate with beautiful acidity that leads to a lasting finish.
