Wine Review: This bright white gold colored Chardonnay from Oregon was one of our top wines in our recent big blind tasting. It opens with a fragrant apple and apricot bouquet with hints of lemon. On the palate this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious Anjou pear with nicely integrated mild oak. We also detected a hint of tart green apple, roasted almond and faint minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors are very nicely prolonged. The panel suggested pairing this very nice Chard with chicken picatta or baked haddock with lemon butter. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Light and fluorescent yellow in color with silvery green edges. Aromas of magnolia, orange blossom and spice lead your nose to a faint, classic reduction. The palate has a velvety entry with fresh, juicy fruit and notes of lemon pound cake. There is an extremely pronounced elegant texture with a lingering acidity that cascades into a lasting, mineral finish.
