Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Oregon Pinot Noir is very impressive and was my favorite at mini-tasting of Oregon Pinots. It opens with an attractive mild blueberry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and smooth as silk. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild red currant with hints of pomegranate and gently infused old oak. The finish is dry and its very fine tannins drift away nicely. I would serve this yummy wine with grilled mahi mahi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Clear ruby red in color with a brilliant edge, the nose is open and broad with pure aromas of fresh red cherries, some raspberries, a hint of Asian allspice, anise seed and earthy tones to complete. The palate is filled with nice and smooth tannins, juicy and fresh red cherry flavors that linger on the long finish. A wonderful food wine.
