Wine Review: This ruby colored wine opens with an attractive ripe black cherry like bouquet. There are hints of vanilla as well. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced with juicy ripe black cherry flavors. There were also hints of black licorice and blackberry noted as well. The finish is dry and moderate and its controlled tannins are nicely prolonged. There was also a touch of heat detected at the very end. As readers know, I really enjoy these kitchen sink blends. Try this Rhone grape blend with meatloaf. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Gypsy was created as a true Rhone-styled blend inspired by the great wines of the Southern Rhone Valley in France. The result is packed with black cherry, black raspberry, black pepper, cigar box, tobacco and cinnamon aromas. On the palate flavors of black cherry, red plum, cinnamon, sandalwood, and dried herbs are sure to make this versatile wine a true favorite.
