Wine Review: This slightly opaque and ruby colored red blend opens with a red currant and black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy and quite fruit forward. The flavor profile is an extracted black raspberry and black pepper blend with notes of black currant and a hint of oak. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors are nicely prolonged. This fruit bomb is pretty intense. Enjoy it fireside on a cool night with some sharp cheese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Opaque in color. On the nose, you will find captivating aromas of blackberry, tar, coffee liquor, cigar box black cherry, vanilla and plum which are nicely rounded by the palate flavors of blackberry compote, chocolate, tar, blueberry, vanilla and all spice. A big and rich wine without being overbearing, and definitely not sweet, the 2009 Revelation has a special character that is sure to follow suit to its predecessors as another tasting room favorite.
