Wine Review: This red colored Barolo opens with a mild cherry and plum bouquet with a hint of orange peel. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and soft for a Barolo. The flavor profile is an oak influenced black cherry with integrated hints of graphite, gentle tart plum and tarragon. The finish is dry and its well-managed tannins build-up and stick around for a while. This very good offering while not as complex as some Barolo’s is ready to go and would pair quite nicely with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red colored with garnet hues. It has an intense and pleasant bouquet with scents of currant, licorice, tobacco, spices, coffee and leather. On the palate, it is multifaceted. It is full- bodied, harmonic and smooth with blackberry flavors along with chewy tannins and pleasant finish. It pairs with hunting game, roasts, mature cheeses.
