Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored red blend from Chile opens with red raspberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, fruity and generous. The flavor profile is an extracted red raspberry with notes of red plum. I also detected hints of red currant and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its tannins build up quickly and linger for about 20 seconds. This wine is rather young and needs time in the cellar. In the near term, decant for an hour and serve it with a juicy ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red in color with a touch of violet. The nose offers elegance and a nice balance of ripe black fruit such as black currants and dried plums in harmony with a delicate touch of truffle and spice. Rich ripe fruit and soft, velvety tannins provide elegant structure and complexity, clearly defining the benefits of its place of origin. Flavorful and lush with a nice, long finish. Ideal with prime red meat, savory game, spicy sauces and aged cheeses.
