Wine Review: This white gold colored Pinot Gris from Elk Cove is very good. It opens with a fragrant ginger and ripe cantaloupe bouquet with hints of green tea and Bosc pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a green tea and cantaloupe blend with notes of almond and stony minerality. I also detected hints of nectarine. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger nicely before drifting away. Enjoy – Ken
