Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a mild, yet attractive lime and grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and shows some up front acidity. The flavor profile is a tangy lime with a slight touch of minerality and grapefruit in the background. The finish is dry, refreshing, and pleasant. This wine would be a nice opener and I would pair it with carmelized onion and feta cheese tarts from Trader Joes. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is uniquely Dry Creek Valley. Distinctive for its wide spectrum of tropical fruit flavors, the wine also carries an excellent sense of acidity and balance. Flavors of peach, honeydew, and pear give this wine wonderful complexity and dimension. On the palate, floral elements burst forward creating a mouthwatering sensation. The finish is long and lingering providing a fresh, clean, and memorable drinking experience.
