Wine Review: This straw-colored Chenin Blanc from Dry Creek Vineyard opens with fragrant and attractive peach bouquet with hints of lychee and honeysuckle. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty mild mango and ripe peach blend with notes of golden delicious apple and lemon verbena. I also detected hints of orange zest and mild minerality. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this pair this Chenin Blanc with baked brie crostini with honey. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: At first swirl, aromatics of honeydew, peach, and mango spring forward from the glass with floral notes of orange blossom and honeysuckle. On the palate, the wine has refreshing flavors of watermelon, Meyer lemon and cucumber with hints of white tea and white pepper. The mouthfeel is soft but inviting, with a voluptuous texture. This classic, Loire Valley-style wine is excellent when paired with fresh oysters, seafood, or just about anything!
