Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from Dry Creek opens with a fragrant gooseberry and yellow grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, slightly acidic, mouthwatering and flavorful. Those flavors are tart yellow grapefruit and minerality along with notes of lime and white pepper. I also detected a touch of tangerine towards the end. The finish is dry and refreshing. This Sauvignon Blanc would pair well with grilled mahi-mahi burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 45th vintage of Fume Blanc is a beautiful wine that emanates the classic Dry Creek Vineyard "house" style of Sauvignon Blanc. At first swirl, aromatics of Meyer lemon and key lime and lemongrass leap forward from the glass. On the palate, the wine is refreshing with flavors of lemon curd, tangerine and hints of dried thyme and freshly cut grass. This wine is mouthwatering and delicious with lovely intensity and a clean, pure finish. Enjoy with fresh oysters.
