Wine Review: This opaque and very dark garnet colored Cabernet opens with a mild menthol and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and acai berry blend with hints of red plum and a touch of oak in background. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are friendly. This Cab would make a very nice glass pour option. It is a crowd pleaser. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2009 vintage will be remembered as one of the best in the past decade. This Cabernet Sauvignon displays elegant aromas of cherry and red raspberry along with sage and dried flowers. On the palate, the wine is extremely well balanced with silky tannins that carefully weave together the earthy, dusty nuances of this Bordeaux-esque wine. With some airing, the wine flushes out providing even more dimension and depth. The finish lingers with fine tannins that are very elegant and structured.
