Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark red colored blend opens with ripe red cherry bouquet with hints of cinnamon candy. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, and nicely balanced. The flavor profile is a tasty red cherry with intertwined cinnamon, mild vanilla oak, a touch of plum and dried cranberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are a bit sticky and linger nicely. This wine is quite food friendly and it would pair very well with a thick cut of prime rib. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine displays wonderful aromatics of polished red fruit, mocha and spice. The nose translates to an elegant and seamless experience on the palate with a core of juicy black fruit, chocolate, black plums, cassis, black and red cherry, black tea, vanilla and spice. The tannins are smooth and polished framing the wonderful structure and balance in the wine. Some additional minutes in the glass reveal the enchanting aspects of the Dry Creek Valley appellation including dried spices, bright floras and an earthy dusty quality.
