Wine Review: The 2015 Drumheller Cabernet Sauvignon is dark red in color and opens with a pleasant musty, earthy bouquet of black raspberry, plum, oak, black pepper and hints of herbs. This full-bodied Cab from the Columbia Valley has inviting flavors of juicy blackberries and cherries. It also includes some black tea, oak and herbs mixed in. I enjoyed its slightly dry and dusty well balanced tannins. It made the finish enjoyable with a slightly tart strawberry and dark chocolate that faded away nicely. I would pair this good value Cab with marinated steak tips. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: The bright floral nose of this Cabernet Sauvignon opens to flavors of cola, ripe cherries, fresh blackberry, and cinnamon with a delicate texture. The finish is intense, yet silky. This Cabernet pairs well with a wide variety of foods without overpowering them; try braised short-ribs, stuffed peppers, pork tenderloin, and even dark chocolate.
