Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and bright garnet colored Pinot Noir opens with a very fragrant cranberry, red raspberry and strawberry bouquet with hints of cherry and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. It is also balanced and has a nice round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a tasty strawberry and red plum blend with notes of fine grained minerality. We also detected hints vanilla and cranberry. The finish is dry and its moderate smooth tannins stick around for quite some time. The Panel suggested that this Pinot would pair well with a pork tenderloin or pan roasted duck breast. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine displays dark red and blue fruit notes with black trumpet mushroom and sage. The mineral notes and firm acidity scream coastal hillside vineyard. We consider the Wendling Vineyard one of a handful of "Grand Cru" sites in the Anderson Valley. We recommend giving this bottling the cellar time required for it to reach its full potential. Pair with wild mushroom risotto or a classic cassoulet.
