Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Drew is another winner! It opens with a mild black raspberry bouquet with hints of black cherry and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and is approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum with notes of red currant and spice. I also detected hints of minerality and gentle oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a little while. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair well with Colorado lamb chops with a herb marinade and wild mushrooms. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of earth, red fruits and cocoa. The nose is classic with notes of leather, black truffle and rich raspberry. The palate is consistent with the nose including fresh raspberry, black cherry and savory nutmeg with rose stem notes. The tannins are firm yet velvety along with well aligned acidity for a long finish.
