Wine Review: A crisp, intense Riesling from Germany. In the glass it is a very pale white gold color, with delicious apple, white peach, lanolin, wet slate, and apple blossom aromas. On the palate, it is dry, crisp, and very well balanced with integrated plus minerality. It also has a medium body and a lovely creamy mouthfeel. There are flavors of red delicious apple, white peach, chalky minerality, and mild lemon. The mineral driven finish is very long. Serve lightly chilled with fried scallops. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Made from red slate estate vineyards found primarily in the south-facing stretch of river that encompasses the villages of Ürzig, Erden, Lösnich and Kinheim. This dry Riesling has an intense minerality that is warm and enveloping. It has floral, spicy, citrus blossom aromas and harmonious flavors with a full, expansive texture. Very expressive.
