Wine Review: Rkatsiteli is one of the oldest grape varieties in the world originating in the Republic of Georgia and is said to have been introduced into the USA by Dr. Konstantin Frank. This 2013 version of Rkatsiteli is pale straw in color and has a nice fruity bouquet with guava, pear, honey and hints of minerality. The wine has a light body and is fruity, fresh, lively and tangy on the mouth with notes of pink grapefruit, lemon and tangerines. This is a nicely balanced wine with good structure. The finish is a nice dry extended grapefruit. I would pair this wine with chicken cashew nut from your favorite Thai restaurant. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: Fresh basil, lime rind, peach and elegant mineral undertones. A grape variety that always retains good acidity levels, even in hotter years. Style: Off-Dry with textural mouth feel. Body: Light body. Food pairing: Snapper ceviche and seafood sushi.
