Wine Review: This dark purple colored Syrah from Crozes Hermitage is a big boy! It opens with a blackberry and oak bouquet with hints of blueberry and leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very savory. The flavor profile is a mineral and oak influenced blackberry and mocha blend with hints of all-spice, black olive and a touch of black plum. The finish is dry and its tannins build-up and stick around for a very very long time. This impressive Syrah is not for the faint of heart. Decant it and pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Full-bodied and stemming from grapes that average more than 50 years old, Cuvee Gaby is named after David's and Florent's father, Gaby. Lavish red and dark fruit, floral undertones, refined tannins and balanced acidity—this is a beautiful expression of Crozes-Hermitage.
