Wine Review: This pale straw colored Muscadet opens with a wet stone like bouquet with a hint of pear. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, rather acidic and crisp. The flavor profile is a quinine and green apple with notes on integrated minerality with hints of grapefruit and lemon. The finish is quite dry and its flavors linger for quite a while. I would serve this wine with pan seared sea scallops with sauteed wild mushrooms. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Domaine de la Tourmaline 2011 displays aromas of white blossom along with notes of citrus and exotic fruits. On the palate the wine is dry, crisp with a fine acidity and a soft texture. Refined and fresh, it pairs well with seafood. Oysters are a must, and it will be delightful with lobster and shrimp. Great with poultry and salads.
