Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Gewurz opens with a mild peach and lychee like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, fresh and has a round mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild apricot with hints of quinine and gentle lychee. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for quite some time. This Gewurztraminer is perfect for Asian cuisine. I would try it with General Gau's chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The nose shows classic rose/floral aromatics, without excess though, and it is just starting to develop more interesting spicy/peppery notes. The fact that it spent the whole time on gross lees, helps to reduce the over varietal characteristic of this grape, that can sometime be excessive. The palate is long, elegant, feels dry and like any other wine in this category is already an excellent food wine.
