Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Gamay from Beaujolais Villages is very good. It opens with an inviting black raspberry and cinnamon tea bouquet with hints of cherry and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, structured, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a black tea and black plum blend with notes of black raspberry and stone dust. I also detected hints of cinnamon tea in the aftertaste. The finish is rather dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for a long time. I would pair this Gamay with steak frites or steak fajitas. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Light garnet color with brilliant purplish reflections. Pleasant nose of morello cherry and plum red. Tangy palate revealing small red fruits (red currant and raspberry). Quite light structure and delicious finish evoking Burlat cherry. For tapas, cold meats or a good grilled prime rib served plain.
