Wine Review: I have been wanting to try a wine from this former wine blogger for quite some time. When I saw it on the list at Gibbett Hill, I had to try it. We were not disappointed. Our group really liked it. It was light yellow colored and opened with an attractive lemon and green melon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced between his acidity and fruit. The flavor profile is a unique mineral infused lemon verbena and green apple blend with hints of green grapes and lychee. The finish is dry and refreshing. It paired well with our crab cake appetizer. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is a little bit of all the whites we make. Deliciously lively. It has shifting aromatics that move between tangerine, jicama, dusty library books, honeycomb, and sidewalk chalk. On the palate, there is up front acidity, juicy kiwi, pulpy flesh, and layered (kind of great viscosity). The wine finishes with a crispy acidity and dried apricot. Serve cool (not ice cold). Remember, semi-cloudy (chunky) wine is our specialty and will not disappoint.
