Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored wine opens with a very fragrant and aromatic blueberry bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced between its acidity and fruit. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused black currant with notes of plum and mild oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are well managed and friendly. This wine will appeal to fans of Bordeaux styled wines. I would suggest pairing it with filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A fine year. The bodega's yield was normal for the Gran Reserva. Superb ripe tannins and great concentration on the palate were achieved thanks to the grapes being picked at their optimum ripeness. Cool nights enabled the development of high quality tannins, despite a slight water deficit. Together, these factors have resulted in elegant, balanced, well-crafted wines.
